Installation Guide – Avalon White 24″x24″ Sandblasted Marble Paver
Important Advisory
This guide covers only the paver covering phase. Ensure the base is prepared by a qualified contractor prior to laying.
Step 1: Dry Layout & Planning
- Begin with a dry layout to inspect tone variation and determine optimal placement.
- Use a running bond or modular pattern to minimize visible joints and break up large surfaces.
Step 2: Paver Placement
- Place each paver gently on the prepared bedding layer.
- Maintain consistent joint spacing of 1/8″ to 1/4″.
- Use a rubber mallet to level pavers and ensure solid contact with the surface below.
Step 3: Cutting & Adjustments
- Use a wet saw with a marble-compatible diamond blade for clean edges.
- Smooth any cut edges that will remain visible with a rubbing stone or polishing pad.
Step 4: Joint Treatment
- Fill joints using polymeric sand or a suitable marble-safe joint filler.
- Compact the surface gently and sweep away all excess material.
- If using polymeric sand, lightly mist the surface to activate bonding.
Step 5: Sealing & Maintenance
- Apply a high-quality penetrating sealer designed for sandblasted marble.
- Reapply sealant every 1–2 years, or as needed based on weathering and foot traffic.
- Clean regularly using pH-neutral solutions. Avoid acidic or abrasive products.
