Installation Guide

Royal Beige – French Pattern Sandblasted Marble is a natural stone product designed for
premium indoor and outdoor applications. Proper installation is essential to ensure long-term performance,
visual consistency, and durability. Installation should be performed by a qualified stone or tile professional.

Surface Preparation

• Substrate must be structurally sound, clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, sealers, or debris.
• Concrete substrates should be fully cured (minimum 28 days) and flat within industry tolerances.
• For exterior installations, ensure proper slope and drainage to prevent standing water.
• Use a waterproofing and crack-isolation membrane when required, especially in wet or outdoor areas.

Layout & Dry Fitting

• Dry-lay the French pattern sets before installation to confirm layout, color blending, and pattern flow.
• Mix tiles from multiple crates to achieve natural color variation and avoid shading concentration.
• Plan expansion joints according to TCNA and ANSI guidelines.

Setting Material & Installation

• Use a high-quality, polymer-modified thin-set or medium-bed mortar suitable for natural stone.
• For outdoor or wet applications, use mortar rated for exterior and freeze-thaw conditions.
• Back-butter each stone to ensure full mortar coverage and proper bond strength.
• Maintain consistent joint spacing; sandblasted surfaces typically pair well with 3/8″ grout joints.

Cutting & Handling

• Use a wet saw with a diamond blade designed for natural stone.
• Handle pieces carefully to avoid edge chipping, especially on thicker French pattern pieces.
• Always wear appropriate safety equipment during cutting and installation.

Grouting

• Allow mortar to cure fully before grouting.
• Use a grout compatible with natural stone; sanded grout is commonly recommended for wider joints.
• Test grout color on a small area prior to full application.

Sealing

• Seal the marble before grouting to minimize staining and ease cleanup.
• After installation and curing, apply a penetrating stone sealer suitable for sandblasted marble.
• Reapply sealer periodically based on usage and exposure.

Maintenance & Care

• Clean regularly using a pH-neutral stone cleaner.
• Avoid acidic, abrasive, or harsh chemical cleaners.
• For outdoor installations, rinse periodically to remove dirt and debris.
