Soft White 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified

Clean and understated, Soft White 12×24 brings a refined white surface with a soft natural (matte) sheen. The 12×24 format reduces visible joints for a smooth, modern look, while rectified edges support tight, consistent grout lines across walls or floors.

Crafted in durable porcelain with a PEI 4 wear rating, this tile balances style and everyday practicality for kitchens, baths, and living spaces, plus commercial wall use. Frost resistance expands design options to exterior facades in freeze–thaw climates.

Box coverage is 15.5 sq. ft. (8 pieces), simplifying planning and takeoffs. Use Soft White on its own for minimal elegance or coordinate with complementary materials to create layered architectural detail.

Installation Guide – Soft White 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified

Important Advisory

Follow the tile manufacturer’s instructions, local building codes, and ANSI A108/A118 and TCNA guidelines. Ensure proper substrate preparation, movement accommodation, and waterproofing/drainage where required.

Step 1: Layout & Planning

  • Confirm the substrate is clean, dry, structurally sound, and flat within tolerances suitable for this format.
  • Plan the layout by dry-fitting tiles to balance cuts and avoid narrow slivers at perimeters.
  • Blend material from multiple boxes to distribute any shade/pattern variation.
  • Use appropriate spacers; select a joint width consistent with rectified tile and include movement joints per TCNA EJ171.

Step 2: Tile Installation

  • Use a polymer‑modified thinset mortar approved for porcelain tile.
  • Key mortar into the substrate, then comb with a suitable notched trowel; back‑butter tiles as needed to improve contact.
  • Set tiles with a slight slide to collapse ridges and achieve the coverage required by application and location.
  • Consider a tile leveling system when needed to help minimize lippage with this format.
  • Allow mortar to cure per manufacturer guidance before grouting or light traffic.

Step 3: Cutting

  • Use a wet saw with a premium diamond blade rated for porcelain.
  • Mark cuts carefully and support the tile fully to minimize chipping.
  • Ease sharp cut edges where they will be exposed.

Step 4: Joint Filling

  • Select a grout appropriate for porcelain and the chosen joint width; follow manufacturer directions for mixing, application, and cure.
  • Pack joints fully with a rubber float, clean diagonally, and remove haze promptly with clean water.
  • Use a suitable sealant at movement joints and all changes of plane; do not grout these areas.
  • Protect the installation from traffic until grout has cured.

Step 5: Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean routinely with a pH‑neutral cleaner formulated for porcelain tile; avoid acids and harsh abrasives.
  • Use entry mats and felt pads to reduce tracked‑in grit and scratching.
  • Follow grout manufacturer maintenance guidance; reseal cementitious grout if recommended.
