Kobe Verde 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified
Sophisticated and versatile, the Kobe Verde 12×24 porcelain tile delivers a refined green tone with a soft natural (matte) finish. Rectified edges support tight, consistent grout joints for a clean, contemporary layout on floors or walls.
Engineered in durable porcelain at 10mm (3/8 in.) thickness, Kobe Verde balances design flexibility with everyday practicality. A PEI 4 wear rating and a 0.50 DCOF provide confident performance for residential floors and select light commercial spaces, while frost resistance opens design possibilities for exterior facades in freeze–thaw climates.
Use it as a streamlined field tile or pair it with coordinating elements to build layered architectural detail. The 12×24 format helps minimize grout lines, creating a smooth visual field that complements modern and transitional interiors.

Installation Guide – Kobe Verde 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified
Important Advisory
Always follow the tile manufacturer’s instructions, local building codes, and recognized industry standards (ANSI A108/A118 and TCNA guidelines). Verify substrate suitability, movement accommodation, and waterproofing/drainage where required.
Step 1: Layout & Planning
- Confirm the substrate is clean, dry, structurally sound, and flat within industry tolerances for large-format tile (one side over 15 inches).
- Dry-lay to plan layout, center the design, and avoid sliver cuts at perimeters or transitions.
- Blend tiles from multiple boxes to evenly distribute any shade or pattern variation.
- Use appropriate spacers; maintain a joint width suitable for rectified tile and the chosen pattern. Include movement joints per TCNA EJ171.
Step 2: Tile Installation
- Use a polymer-modified thin-set mortar approved for porcelain and, where applicable, for large-format tiles.
- Key mortar into the substrate, then comb with an appropriate notched trowel. Back-butter tiles as needed to improve bond and coverage.
- Set tiles with a slight back-and-forth motion to collapse ridges. Achieve coverage consistent with standards (typically 80–95% depending on area and exposure).
- Use a tile leveling system if needed to help minimize lippage on larger formats.
- Allow mortar to cure per manufacturer instructions before grouting or traffic.
Step 3: Cutting
- Cut with a wet saw using a premium diamond blade rated for porcelain.
- Measure and mark carefully; support the tile fully to reduce chipping.
- Ease sharp cut edges where they will be exposed.
Step 4: Joint Filling
- Select a grout suitable for porcelain and the planned joint width; follow manufacturer mixing and cure instructions.
- Pack joints completely with a rubber float, clean diagonally, and remove haze promptly.
- Use appropriate sealant at movement joints and changes of plane; do not grout these areas.
- Protect the installation from foot traffic until grout has cured.
Step 5: Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean routinely with a pH-neutral cleaner approved for porcelain tile; avoid acids and harsh abrasives.
- Use entry mats and protective pads to minimize tracked grit and scratching.
- Follow grout manufacturer maintenance guidance; seal cementitious grout if recommended.
