Phase Grey 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified
Understated and versatile, Phase Grey 12×24 porcelain tile delivers a refined gray tone with a natural matte surface. The 12×24 format reduces grout lines for a smooth, contemporary look, while rectified edges support tight, consistent joints across walls or floors.
Crafted in durable 9mm (3/8") porcelain with a PEI 5 wear rating, this tile balances everyday practicality with clean design. Frost resistance expands design options to exterior facades in freeze–thaw climates, and the easy-care surface keeps maintenance simple in busy spaces.
Use Phase Grey as a quiet, modern backdrop or mix it with complementary materials for layered detail. Its neutral shade makes it a dependable choice for kitchens, baths, living areas, and commercial wall installations.

Installation Guide – Phase Grey 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified
Important Advisory
Always follow the tile manufacturer’s instructions, local building codes, and recognized industry standards (ANSI A108/A118 and TCNA guidelines). Ensure proper substrate preparation, movement accommodation, and waterproofing/drainage where required.
Step 1: Layout & Planning
- Verify substrate is clean, dry, structurally sound, and flat within industry tolerances for large-format tile.
- Plan the layout by dry-laying tiles and centering the design to avoid small perimeter cuts.
- Blend tiles from multiple boxes to distribute any shade variation evenly.
- Use spacers appropriate for rectified tile and include movement joints per TCNA EJ171.
Step 2: Tile Installation
- Use a polymer-modified thin-set mortar approved for porcelain and large-format tiles.
- Key mortar into the substrate, comb with a suitable notched trowel, and back-butter 12×24 tiles as needed to improve coverage.
- Set tiles with a slight back-and-forth motion to collapse ridges and achieve the coverage required by application and location.
- Use a leveling system where helpful to minimize lippage on large-format installations.
- Allow mortar to cure per manufacturer instructions before grouting or light traffic.
Step 3: Cutting
- Cut with a wet saw using a premium diamond blade designed for porcelain.
- Mark cuts carefully and support the tile fully to reduce chipping.
- Ease exposed cut edges as needed for smooth transitions.
Step 4: Joint Filling
- Select a grout suitable for porcelain and the chosen joint width; follow manufacturer directions for mixing, application, and cure times.
- Pack joints fully with a rubber float, clean diagonally, and remove haze promptly with clean water.
- Use appropriate sealants at movement joints and changes of plane; do not grout these areas.
- Protect the installation from foot traffic until grout has cured.
Step 5: Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean routinely with a pH-neutral cleaner suitable for porcelain tile; avoid acids or harsh abrasives.
- Use entry mats and felt pads where appropriate to minimize grit and scratching.
- Follow grout and mortar manufacturers’ maintenance guidance; reseal cementitious grout if recommended.
