Neostile 2.0 Ekru 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified

Clean and contemporary, Neostile 2.0 Ekru brings a refined neutral palette to modern interiors. The 12×24 format reduces visual joints for a smooth, continuous look, while rectified edges enable tight, consistent grout lines. A natural (matte) surface adds a soft, architectural finish that complements a wide range of styles.

Made in durable porcelain at 9mm thickness, this tile balances design flexibility with everyday practicality. A PEI 4 wear rating supports robust residential use and select light‑commercial floors, and frost resistance opens exterior wall possibilities in freeze–thaw climates. Use it on its own for minimalist simplicity or combine with coordinating materials to build layered detail.

Plan confidently with a versatile field tile that installs cleanly and maintains easily, delivering a timeless backdrop across kitchens, baths, living areas, and feature walls.

Installation Guide – Neostile 2.0 Ekru 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified

Important Advisory

Always follow the tile manufacturer’s instructions, local building codes, and recognized industry standards (ANSI A108/A118 and TCNA guidelines). Verify substrate suitability, flatness, and appropriate waterproofing/drainage where required. Incorporate movement joints per TCNA EJ171.

Step 1: Layout & Planning

  • Confirm the substrate is clean, dry, structurally sound, and flat within tolerances for large-format tile.
  • Dry-lay to balance the layout, align grout joints, and avoid narrow perimeter cuts.
  • Blend tiles from multiple boxes to evenly distribute shade and pattern variation.
  • Use spacers sized for rectified tile and the selected pattern; include movement accommodation joints at perimeters and transitions per EJ171 guidelines. For rectangular tiles, follow manufacturer/industry guidance on running-bond offsets to minimize lippage.

Step 2: Tile Installation

  • Use a polymer-modified thin-set mortar approved for porcelain and large-format tiles.
  • Key mortar into the substrate, then comb in one direction with an appropriate notched trowel; back-butter tiles to improve contact.
  • Set tiles with a slight back-and-forth motion to collapse ridges and achieve required coverage (generally 80–95% depending on area and exposure).
  • Check alignment and plane frequently; use a leveling system if needed to help control lippage on large-format installations.
  • Allow mortar to cure per manufacturer instructions before grouting or light traffic.

Step 3: Cutting

  • Cut with a wet saw using a premium diamond blade designed for porcelain.
  • Mark and support cuts carefully to reduce chipping; ease sharp cut edges where they will be exposed.
  • Drill holes with diamond core bits at low speed with adequate cooling.

Step 4: Joint Filling

  • Select a grout suitable for porcelain and the chosen joint width; follow manufacturer directions for mixing, application, and curing.
  • Pack joints fully with a rubber float; clean diagonally across the tiles and remove haze promptly with clean water.
  • Use appropriate sealant at movement joints and all changes of plane; do not grout these areas.
  • Protect the installation from traffic and moisture until grout has cured per manufacturer guidance.

Step 5: Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean routinely with a pH‑neutral cleaner suitable for porcelain tile; avoid acids, harsh abrasives, or oil‑based soaps.
  • Use entry mats and felt pads as appropriate to minimize tracked-in grit and scratching.
  • Follow grout manufacturer maintenance guidance; seal cementitious grout if recommended.
