Installation Guide – Desert Bloom 12″x24″ Tumbled Travertine Paver
Important Note
This guide covers only the paver covering process. Base preparation and leveling must be performed by qualified personnel before installation.
Step 1: Dry Layout & Planning
- Lay out pavers dry to review natural color and veining variations.
- Arrange pieces to create a visually balanced pattern, such as running bond or staggered grid.
- Confirm the design flow and mark alignment lines if needed.
Step 2: Paver Placement
- Carefully place each paver on the prepared bedding layer.
- Maintain uniform joint spacing of 1/8″ to 1/4″ for a consistent appearance.
- Tap gently with a rubber mallet to seat the paver and ensure level alignment.
Step 3: Cutting & Adjustments
- Cut using a wet saw with a diamond blade suitable for travertine.
- Handle large-format pavers carefully to avoid corner breakage.
- Smooth cut edges if they will remain exposed for a soft, natural look.
Step 4: Joint Treatment
- Fill joints with polymeric sand or a travertine-compatible joint filler.
