Neostile 2.0 Ash 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified

Understated and modern, Neostile 2.0 Ash delivers a versatile gray tone with a soft natural (matte) surface that complements contemporary and classic schemes alike. The precise rectified edges and 12×24 size help create clean lines and fewer grout joints for a refined, seamless look on walls or floors.

Crafted in durable porcelain at 9mm (3/8") thickness, this tile balances everyday practicality with design flexibility. A PEI 4 wear rating supports robust residential use, while frost resistance expands design possibilities to exterior facades in freeze–thaw climates.

Use it on its own for a minimalist statement or pair it with coordinating materials to add layered detail. The natural finish brings a low-sheen elegance that sits comfortably with both warm and cool palettes.

Installation Guide – Neostile 2.0 Ash 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified

Important Advisory

Always follow the product manufacturer’s instructions, local building codes, and recognized industry standards (ANSI A108/A118 and TCNA guidelines). Confirm substrate suitability, flatness, movement accommodation, and waterproofing/drainage where required.

Step 1: Layout & Planning

  • Verify the substrate is clean, dry, structurally sound, and flat within tolerances appropriate for 12×24 tile.
  • Plan the layout by dry-laying tiles and centering the pattern to minimize small perimeter cuts.
  • Blend material from multiple boxes to distribute shade and pattern variation evenly.
  • Select spacers and a joint width compatible with rectified tile; include movement joints per TCNA EJ171.

Step 2: Tile Installation

  • Use a polymer‑modified thinset mortar suitable for porcelain tile and the project conditions.
  • Key mortar into the substrate, comb with an appropriate notched trowel, and back‑butter tiles as needed to improve coverage.
  • Set tiles with a slight back‑and‑forth motion to collapse ridges and achieve the coverage required by location and service (typically 80–95%).
  • Use a leveling system where appropriate to help minimize lippage on larger units.
  • Allow the mortar to cure per manufacturer instructions before grouting or light traffic.

Step 3: Cutting

  • Cut with a wet saw using a premium diamond blade rated for porcelain.
  • Mark and support cuts carefully to reduce chipping.
  • Ease sharp cut edges where they will be exposed.

Step 4: Joint Filling

  • Choose a grout compatible with porcelain and the selected joint width; follow manufacturer guidelines for mixing, application, and curing.
  • Fully pack joints with a rubber float, clean diagonally, and remove haze promptly with clean water.
  • Use appropriate sealant at movement joints and changes of plane; do not grout these areas.
  • Protect the installation from traffic until grout has cured.

Step 5: Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean routinely with a pH‑neutral cleaner suitable for porcelain tile; avoid harsh acids or abrasives.
  • Use walk‑off mats and felt pads to limit tracked grit and scratching.
  • Follow mortar and grout manufacturers’ maintenance recommendations; seal cementitious grout if advised.
