Step 1: Layout & Planning
- Verify the substrate is clean, dry, structurally sound, and flat within industry tolerances appropriate for 12×24 tile.
- Dry-lay to confirm pattern, alignment, and cuts; center the layout to avoid sliver cuts at perimeters.
