Fibra Calm 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified

Clean-lined and versatile, Fibra Calm 12×24 porcelain tile brings a refined look with a soft natural (matte) surface. The 12×24 format helps reduce grout lines for a smooth, modern layout across walls or floors, while precise rectified edges support tight, consistent joints.

Made from durable porcelain and rated PEI 4, this tile balances everyday practicality with design flexibility for busy residential spaces and select light-commercial interiors. Frost resistance expands options to exterior wall facades in freeze–thaw climates. Box coverage is 15.5 sq. ft. (8 pieces), streamlining takeoffs and estimating.

Use it on its own for a minimalist canvas or pair with coordinating trims to create clean transitions and architectural detail. The natural finish offers a low-sheen look that complements a wide range of materials and palettes.

Installation Guide – Fibra Calm 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified

Important Advisory

Always follow the tile manufacturer’s instructions, local building codes, and recognized industry standards (ANSI A108/A118 and TCNA guidelines). Verify substrate suitability, movement accommodation, and waterproofing/drainage where required.

Step 1: Layout & Planning

  • Confirm the substrate is clean, dry, structurally sound, and flat within tolerances for large-format tile.
  • Dry-lay to plan layout and balance cuts; center the design to avoid small perimeter pieces.
  • Blend material from multiple boxes to distribute shade and pattern variation evenly.
  • Use spacers consistent with rectified tile and the selected pattern; include movement joints per TCNA EJ171.

Step 2: Tile Installation

  • Use a polymer‑modified thin‑set mortar approved for porcelain and, where applicable, for large‑format tiles.
  • Key mortar into the substrate, comb in one direction with an appropriate notched trowel, and back‑butter tiles as needed for coverage.
  • Set tiles with a slight back‑and‑forth motion to collapse ridges and achieve required bond; target coverage per industry guidelines for the area of use.
  • Use a leveling system where helpful to minimize lippage on 12×24 installations.
  • Allow mortar to cure per manufacturer instructions before grouting or light traffic.

Step 3: Cutting

  • Cut with a wet saw equipped with a premium diamond blade suitable for porcelain.
  • Support the tile fully and mark cuts carefully to reduce chipping.
  • Ease sharp cut edges where they will be exposed.

Step 4: Joint Filling

  • Select a grout suitable for porcelain and the chosen joint width; follow manufacturer directions for mixing, application, and cure.
  • Pack joints fully with a rubber float, clean diagonally, and remove haze with clean water as recommended.
  • Use flexible sealant at movement joints and changes of plane; do not grout these areas.
  • Protect the installation from traffic until grout has cured.

Step 5: Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean routinely with a pH‑neutral cleaner approved for porcelain tile; avoid acids or harsh abrasives.
  • Use entry mats and protective pads to limit tracked‑in grit and scratching.
  • Follow grout and mortar manufacturers’ maintenance guidance; seal cementitious grout if recommended.
