Eva Pebble 12×24 Porcelain Tile Polished Rectified

Sleek and refined, the Eva Pebble 12×24 porcelain tile delivers a sophisticated look in a versatile pebble (silver) hue. Its polished surface brings luminous depth, while precise rectified edges support narrow, consistent grout joints for a clean, modern layout on walls or floors.

Engineered in durable porcelain with a 3/8 in. (9mm) thickness, this tile balances high-end style with everyday practicality. A PEI 5 wear rating and a stated DCOF >0.59 support robust interior performance, and frost resistance opens design potential for exterior facades in freeze–thaw climates.

Use Eva on its own for a minimalist statement or pair it with complementary trims to frame edges and transitions. The 12×24 format reduces visual seams, helping spaces feel larger and more cohesive.

Installation Guide – Eva Pebble 12×24 Porcelain Tile Polished Rectified

Important Advisory

Always follow the tile manufacturer’s instructions, local building codes, and recognized industry standards (ANSI A108/A118 and TCNA guidelines). Verify substrate suitability, movement accommodation, and waterproofing/drainage where required.

Step 1: Layout & Planning

  • Confirm the substrate is clean, dry, structurally sound, and flat within tolerances for 12×24 tile.
  • Dry-lay to refine layout, center the design, and avoid small perimeter cuts.
  • Blend tiles from multiple boxes to balance any shade variation.
  • Use spacers and maintain a consistent joint suitable for rectified tile; include movement joints per TCNA EJ171.

Step 2: Tile Installation

  • Use a polymer-modified thin-set mortar approved for porcelain and the tile’s format.
  • Key mortar into the substrate, then comb with an appropriate notched trowel; back-butter tiles as needed to improve coverage.
  • Set tiles with a slight sliding motion to collapse ridges and promote bond. Target coverage per industry guidelines (typically 80–95% based on area/use).
  • Use a leveling system if needed to help minimize lippage on larger-format installations.
  • Allow mortar to cure per manufacturer directions before grouting or light traffic.

Step 3: Cutting

  • Cut with a wet saw using a premium diamond blade rated for porcelain.
  • Mark and support tiles carefully to reduce chipping.
  • Ease sharp cut edges where they will be exposed.

Step 4: Joint Filling

  • Select a grout appropriate for porcelain and the chosen joint width; follow product instructions for mixing and cure times.
  • Pack joints fully, clean diagonally, and promptly remove surface haze with clean water.
  • Use flexible sealants at movement joints and changes of plane; do not grout these areas.
  • Protect the installation from traffic until grout has cured.

Step 5: Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean routinely with a pH-neutral cleaner suitable for porcelain; avoid acids and harsh abrasives.
  • Use entry mats and felt pads to limit tracked-in grit and surface scratching.
  • Follow grout manufacturer maintenance guidance; seal cementitious grout if recommended.
