Installation Guide – Titan White Edge 4×12 Glossy Ceramic Tile
Important Advisory
Inspect all tiles before installation and confirm that the product is appropriate for the intended environment. Follow Happy Floors instructions, setting-material manufacturer requirements, applicable local codes, substrate requirements, and recognized tile-industry standards. Wet-area installations require a suitable waterproofing system and proper moisture management behind the tile.
Step 1: Layout & Planning
- Confirm the installation area and establish level, plumb reference lines before setting tile.
- Dry-lay representative tiles to review the white color, glossy finish, pressed edges, and overall joint appearance.
- Plan the placement of cut tiles around boundaries, corners, fixtures, outlets, and other transitions before installation begins.
- The 4×12 format may be arranged horizontally, vertically, stacked, or in an offset pattern. Confirm layout and offset recommendations with the manufacturer and installer before setting material.
Step 2: Tile Installation
- Install over a clean, dry, flat, stable, and properly prepared substrate suitable for ceramic tile.
- Repair cracks, uneven areas, contamination, or substrate damage before installation. Coordinate waterproofing and other required preparation in showers and moisture-prone locations.

Step 3: Cutting
- Use a tile cutter, wet saw, or other professional cutting tool suitable for ceramic tile and its glossy surface.
- Measure and dry-fit cut pieces before setting them permanently.
- Handle factory and cut edges carefully to reduce the risk of chipping. Use appropriate ceramic-tile tools for plumbing penetrations, outlets, and detailed cuts.
Step 4: Joint Filling
- Allow the setting material to cure according to its manufacturer’s instructions before grouting.
- Select a grout compatible with ceramic tile, the chosen joint width, and the installation environment.
- Apply grout carefully and remove excess material promptly with a clean, damp sponge, avoiding excessive water.
- Use a compatible flexible sealant rather than rigid grout at changes of plane, perimeter joints, and other movement locations where required.
Step 5: Cleaning & Maintenance
- Remove mortar and grout residue from the glossy surface before it hardens, following the relevant product manufacturers’ instructions.
- For routine care, use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner suitable for ceramic tile.
- Avoid abrasive pads, harsh tools, and incompatible chemicals that could affect the glossy finish or grout.
- Maintain grout and sealant joints according to their manufacturers’ care and replacement recommendations.
