Cardosia River Rock Beige 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified
Subtle and sophisticated, the Cardosia River Rock Beige 12×24 porcelain tile brings a warm beige tone with a refined natural (matte) surface. The 12×24 format streamlines grout lines for a clean, modern look, while rectified edges support tight, consistent joints across coordinated floors and walls.
Crafted in durable porcelain, this tile balances design flexibility with everyday practicality. A DCOF of 0.42 (wet) and a PEI 3 wear rating make it a smart choice for residential floors and commercial wall applications. Frost resistance further expands design options to exterior facades in freeze–thaw climates.
Use it on its own for minimalist continuity or pair it with complementary colors and textures to build layered architectural detail throughout kitchens, baths, and living spaces.

Installation Guide – Cardosia River Rock Beige 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified
Important Advisory
Always follow the tile manufacturer’s instructions, local building codes, and recognized industry standards (ANSI A108/A118 and TCNA guidelines). Verify substrate suitability, movement accommodation, and waterproofing/drainage where required.
Step 1: Layout & Planning
- Confirm the substrate is clean, dry, structurally sound, and flat within industry tolerances for 12×24 tile.
- Dry-lay to optimize layout and avoid small perimeter cuts; center the pattern where practical.
- Blend tiles from multiple boxes to distribute shade and pattern variation evenly.
- Plan appropriate grout-joint width for rectified tile and include movement joints per TCNA EJ171.
Step 2: Tile Installation
- Use a polymer-modified thin-set mortar approved for porcelain tile.
- Key mortar into the substrate, then comb with an appropriate notched trowel; back-butter tiles as needed to help achieve required coverage.
- Set tiles with a slight back-and-forth motion to collapse ridges and promote full contact; target coverage per industry guidelines based on area and exposure.
- Use a leveling system if needed to help minimize lippage with 12×24 units.
- Allow the setting material to cure per manufacturer instructions before grouting or subjecting to traffic.
Step 3: Cutting
- Use a wet saw with a premium diamond blade rated for porcelain.
- Mark cuts accurately and support the tile fully to reduce chipping.
- Ease sharp cut edges where they will be exposed.
Step 4: Joint Filling
- Select a grout suitable for porcelain and the chosen joint width; follow manufacturer directions for mixing and cure times.
- Pack joints completely with a rubber float; clean diagonally and remove haze promptly with clean water.
- Use flexible sealant at movement joints and changes of plane; do not grout these areas.
- Protect the installation from traffic until grout has cured.
Step 5: Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean routinely with a pH-neutral cleaner approved for porcelain tile; avoid acids and harsh abrasives.
- Use entry mats and protective pads on furniture to reduce abrasion from grit.
- Follow grout manufacturer maintenance guidance; seal cementitious grout if recommended.
