Statik Charcoal 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified
Grounded and modern, the Statik Charcoal 12×24 porcelain tile delivers a deep charcoal tone with a refined natural (matte) surface. The 12×24 format helps minimize grout lines for a clean, contemporary layout, while precise rectified edges support tight, consistent joints.
Crafted in durable porcelain at 3/8 in. (9.5mm) thickness, this tile is easy to maintain and frost resistant, opening design possibilities for interior spaces and exterior facades in freeze–thaw climates. Use it to create sleek feature walls, cohesive backsplashes, and coordinated floors in dry residential areas.
Pair it with complementary materials and finishes for layered architectural detail, or let the charcoal palette stand alone for a strong, minimalist statement.

Installation Guide – Statik Charcoal 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified
Important Advisory
Always follow the tile manufacturer’s instructions, local building codes, and recognized industry standards (ANSI A108/A118 and TCNA). Ensure proper substrate preparation, movement accommodation, and waterproofing/drainage where required by application.
Step 1: Layout & Planning
- Verify the substrate is clean, dry, structurally sound, and flat within industry tolerances for 12×24 tile.
- Plan the layout by dry-laying tiles and centering the design to avoid small perimeter cuts.
- Blend tiles from multiple boxes to evenly distribute any shade variation.
- Use an appropriate joint width for rectified tile and include movement joints per TCNA EJ171.
Step 2: Tile Installation
- Use a polymer-modified thin-set mortar approved for porcelain and, when needed, for larger-format tile.
- Key mortar into the substrate, comb with an appropriate notched trowel, and back-butter tiles as needed to improve bond.
- Set tiles with a slight back-and-forth motion to collapse ridges and achieve coverage in line with ANSI/TCNA requirements for the specific application.
- Use a leveling system when helpful to minimize lippage on larger-format installations.
- Allow mortar to cure per manufacturer instructions before grouting or allowing traffic.
Step 3: Cutting
- Cut using a wet saw with a premium diamond blade rated for porcelain.
- Mark cuts carefully and support the tile fully to reduce chipping.
- Ease sharp cut edges where they will be exposed.
Step 4: Joint Filling
- Select a grout appropriate for porcelain and the chosen joint width; follow manufacturer directions for mixing, application, and cure.
- Pack joints fully with a rubber float, clean diagonally, and remove haze promptly with clean water.
- Use flexible sealants at movement joints and changes of plane; do not grout these areas.
- Protect the installation from traffic until grout has cured per manufacturer guidance.
Step 5: Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean routinely with a pH-neutral cleaner suitable for porcelain tile; avoid acids or harsh abrasives.
- Use entry mats and felt pads to minimize tracked-in grit and potential scratching.
- Follow grout manufacturer maintenance guidance; reseal cementitious grout if recommended.
