Newton Pearl 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified
Understated and refined, the Newton Pearl 12×24 porcelain tile brings a calm, versatile look to modern and classic spaces alike. The natural finish softens reflections, while precise rectified edges support crisp, consistent grout joints and clean lines across floors and walls.
Crafted from durable porcelain, Newton Pearl balances everyday practicality with design flexibility. Its wear-resistant surface is well-suited for residential flooring and light commercial interiors, and frost resistance expands creative options to exterior facades in freeze–thaw climates.
Use it as a streamlined field tile or mix with complementary materials and textures to build layered architectural detail. The 12×24 format helps visually reduce grout lines for a smooth, contemporary layout.

Installation Guide – Newton Pearl 12×24 Porcelain Tile Natural Rectified
Important Advisory
Always follow the tile manufacturer’s instructions, local building codes, and recognized industry standards (ANSI A108/A118 and TCNA guidelines). Ensure proper substrate preparation, movement accommodation, and waterproofing/drainage where required.
Step 1: Layout & Planning
- Verify the substrate is clean, dry, structurally sound, and flat within industry tolerances for tile installation.
- Plan the layout by dry-fitting tiles, centering the design, and avoiding narrow perimeter cuts.
- Blend tiles from multiple boxes to distribute any natural shade or pattern variation.
- Select spacers appropriate for rectified tile and the desired joint; provide movement joints per TCNA EJ171.
Step 2: Tile Installation
- Use a polymer-modified thin-set mortar approved for porcelain tile.
- Key mortar into the substrate, then comb with an appropriate notched trowel; back-butter tiles as needed to improve coverage.
- Set tiles with a slight back-and-forth motion to collapse ridges and achieve the bond; meet coverage requirements per application and location.
- Use a leveling system if needed to help minimize lippage on 12×24 installations.
- Allow mortar to cure per manufacturer instructions before grouting or opening to light traffic.
Step 3: Cutting
- Cut with a wet saw and a premium diamond blade designed for porcelain.
- Mark cuts carefully and support the tile fully to reduce chipping.
- Ease sharp cut edges where they will be exposed.
Step 4: Joint Filling
- Choose a grout suitable for porcelain and the selected joint width; follow manufacturer directions for mixing, application, and cure.
- Pack joints fully with a rubber float, clean diagonally, and remove haze promptly with clean water.
- Use appropriate sealant at movement joints and all changes of plane; do not grout these areas.
- Protect the installation from traffic until the grout has cured.
Step 5: Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean routinely with a pH-neutral cleaner approved for porcelain tile; avoid acids and harsh abrasives.
- Use entry mats and felt pads to limit tracked-in grit and reduce surface wear.
- Follow grout manufacturer maintenance guidance; seal cementitious grout if recommended.
