Installation Guide – Milas White Honed Marble Baseboard Trim (4"x12")
Step 1: Surface Preparation – Ensure Stability
- Verify that wall and floor surfaces are clean, dry, and structurally sound.
- Ensure the floor tile installation is complete before baseboard trim installation.
- Remove all dust and residue from the wall surface to promote proper adhesion.
Step 2: Dry Layout – Visual Planning
- Dry-lay the trim pieces along the wall to preview tone and veining consistency.
- Use a level to mark a straight horizontal guide line 4″ above the floor surface.
- Use a wet saw with a fine diamond blade to trim ends and corners as needed.
Step 3: Adhesive Application – Mount Securely
Recommended Adhesives:
- Laticrete 254 Platinum (White)
- Mapei Ultraflex LFT or equivalent white thin-set mortar
Instructions:
- Apply mortar to the back of each piece using a margin trowel.
- Back-butter for full contact and press firmly into place along the marked guide line.
